To fight for our rights is not a crime

Monday 18th of June at 12 a.m.there will be another hearing against activists detained during the eviction of the presidium of the crane the 8th November 2010.

In this trial, the defense lawyers could not bring witnesses. In the system of the Bossi-Fini law, a conviction for aggravated resistance can exclude the possibility of regularization. The Witnesses are the immigrants detained and deported during that disastrous morning passed into history for the delirious management of vice chief “ViCarico”, the only ones present from dawn when the police broke the first time. They criminalize and prosecute those who fight for their rights, and then they deny the accused the only chance to defend themselves. We have been asking for months to let our friends immigrants come to Italy again, we asked the re-entry as witnesses, but the police denied it because they did not think necessary to hear their testimony against that one of the police officers. Their law applies when it comes to pull people to their lives, relationships and choices. We want the immigrants to come back because they have the right to be here. We want them back not only because The prefettura has reopened and refined their practices of regularization (today the only obstacle to the re-entry is the police , which blocks the authorization),but also because we always affirmed that their deportation is illegal like all the others.

Monday the 8th of June we invite you to be present in front of the Tribunale near the station from 12 a.m.

To fight for our rights is not a crime.
Stop deportation! Stop Bossi-Fini law!
